how often should I do pilates?

In Return to Life Through Contrology, Joseph Pilates recommends practicing Pilates 4 times per week in order to get the full benefit of the exercises.

But that doesn’t have to mean 4 trips to the studio each week; perhaps you set aside 30 minutes at home several times a week to focus on Mat work (in addition to virtual classes through a studio, there are many Pilates videos available online, and even books outlining the moves and techniques!). This time can also be used to work towards and maintain moves on the equipment (practice Teasers on the Mat as you work on your Teaser on the Longbox in the studio!).

Ultimately, you know your body best. Pilates is a tool to help you feel good in your body live with strength, energy, and joy. Your practice can be flexible to the needs of your body and the demands of your schedule.
